This generation of Daihatsu Tanto Custom is the car that knocked Honda’s NBox off the top of the sales charts when it was released in 2013. Available in standard and Custom guises, this is Daihatsu’s boxy kei car par excellence. If the split ‘standard’ and ‘Custom’ range sounds familiar, that’s because Daihatsu, Suzuki and Honda all have a range split like this, as any close competitors would.

This is a Daihatsu Tanto Custom in X SA trim, meaning it’s the top of the normally aspirated Tanto Custom range. The chassis code is LA600 and you may see me use that from time to time to distinguish this model from the previous iteration of the Tanto (L375), which is also a great car and which I also have for sale from time to time.
